Why Organic?
Conventional cotton is one of the most widely grown and chemical-intensive crops in the world. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.
By choosing to use organic cotton, you are supporting sustainable and environmentally responsible farming practices which will benefit our earth for present and future generations.
Is the label organic?
The label is made from organic cotton. Non-toxic water-based ink is used in the printing of the labels, which is completed in London, Ontario.
Where is the cotton, thread and ribbon sourced from?
The organic cotton fabric is sourced from organic farms in the United States of America.
The thread and ribbon is sourced from India.
Is the cotton, thread and ribbon certified organic?
Yes. The cotton is certified organic by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). All the mills that process the organic cotton into fiber and fabric adhere to the regulations set forth by presiding regulatory bodies of the USA.
The thread and ribbon is certified organic by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Can you provide certification of organic?
Yes, we can provide you with a copy upon request.
Are there dyes used in your products?
The organic cotton and thread are dye free.
Who makes the products?
The design, cutting, sewing and packaging is done here in Canada.
Do the fabrics used to make your products meet Canadian Standards?
Absolutely! Organics by Heather proudly complies with Health Canada’s Flammability requirements set out in Canada’s Textile Flammability Regulations for general textile products. We also comply with Canada’s requirements for Textile Labelling.
Can you provide proof of Flammability Testing?
Yes, we can provide you with a copy of the flammability test report upon request.
How should I care for my products?
All products can be machine washed in water not exceeding 40°C, at normal setting. Tumble dry at low heat setting or air dry. If desired, iron at medium temperature.
The Mini Facial Cloths curl after I put them in the dryer. Can this be corrected?
The Mini Facial Cloth can be easily reshaped by gently pulling it with your fingers and flattening it with your palm. To prevent them from curling, lay them flat to dry or iron.
Caring for your Soap Sleeve
You may remove the soap from the soap sleeve after each use and hang dry or simply hang your soap sleeve with the soap in it until the next use.
